Special immigration measures for Afghanistan

Afghan nationals whom have worked for the Canadian government in Kandahar for at least 12 months, and whom can demonstrate that they have face individualized and extraordinary risk or have suffered serious injury due to their work with Canadian government, will be offered special consideration if they wish to relocate to Canada.

In addition, spouses of Afghan nationals whom were killed because of their work with the Canadian government will be eligible.

This program will commence in October 2009 and will conclude with the end of the Canadian mission in 2011.
